Golden Cap, Charmouth, Dorset

Golden Cap is on National Trust owned land on the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast between Charmouth and Bridport. The scenery is stunning, with views you’ll never forget; hardly surprising as it’s the highest point on the South Coast of England.
Drive up the steeply winding lane to Stonebarrow, leave the car there and cross the bracing clifftops to the Cap; otherwise park at Langdon Hill and walk through the bluebell woods to the clifftop. You can take an amble in one direction down through the fields and woods to the Anchor Inn at Seatown, and in the other, to the ruined medieval chapel of St. Gabriel’s.
