Langdon Hill, Morecombelake, Dorset
Go to Langdon Hill near Charmouth in Dorset anytime of year and you’ll be rewarded with astonishing views of the Jurassic coast. The walk around the hill is through evergreen woods that are carpeted with bluebells in the springtime; it’s only a short walk but you can make it a longer one by following any of the waymarked trails – stroll down to the ruins of St Gabriel’s, up to Golden Cap, the highest point on this stretch of the coastline, or down over the cliffs to Seatown where you can stroll along the beach or have a refreshing pint on the terrace outside the Anchor Inn. Langdon Hill is owned by the National Trust and has a large car park, picnic benches and a small play area.
