North Perrott, Somerset
North Perrott is an attractive village a few miles from Crewkerne, largely lying on the A3066; there’s not a lot to see or do but there are some pretty cottages built of the local golden Hamstone, which make a nice bucolic scene. The village is surrounded by beautiful Somerset countryside so if you park up by the church you’ll have a good starting point for some wonderful walks, including the Parrett Trail which follows the valley of the River Parrett. There’s a very traditional pub, The Manor Arms, which was a coaching inn in the 16th century and serves homemade pub grub, perhaps one to try after a pony trek with Downclose Stables.
