Selworthy, Exmoor
You must visit this timeless village on the Holnicote Estate within the beautiful Exmoor National Park. It’s a delight; nestled on the edge of a hill with chocolate box thatched cottages and a centuries old church with a wonderful painted nave ceiling. The views of the Porlock Vale and the heather clad moors beyond are breathtaking; you won’t be able to resist getting your camera out. Walk from here to Selworthy Beacon and head back to 17th century Periwinkle Cottage Tea Room for lemon drizzle cake or Devon scones with jam and clotted cream.
