The Green Dragon in Wellington is one of those traditional town pubs where everyone is made to feel welcome, whether you're just popping in for a pint of local ale and a sandwich whilst you're browsing the shops or the farmer's market, or whether you've come for the midweek roast.
The decor is rustic pub style, the service friendly and helpful, and the ambience totally relaxed. It's not fine dining but the menu is a varied one with pub favourites like steaks and burgers, Beer battered cod with chips and mushy peas, and traditional home cooked Ham, egg and chips. You'll also find world flavours with the likes of Red Thai curry, Chinese style pork rice, and homemade Jambalaya. Perhaps not quite what you'd expect in a Somerset market town, but it's good, and they even have a menu for the little ones.
