From the picturesque villages of Beer and Branscombe to the quiet towns of Budleigh Salterton and Seaton and the upbeat vibe of Sidmouth and Exmouth (brilliant for watersports!), they each have their own charm. Lyme Regis is a great place to visit, with 4 beaches, a Marine Aquarium, mini-golf and the fascinating Dinosaurland Fossil Museum. If you’ve got kids onboard take them out for the day; they’ll love Wildwood Devon with its animals, play areas and Saxon village, and they’ll be thanking you endlessly for a trip to Crealy Theme Park – there are over 60 rides, entertainment every day, and places to eat, so it’s heaps of fun. For something different, go and see the incredible underground caverns at Beer Quarry Caves, or head over to Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, home to over 500 very happy donks.
Plan activities like llama walking, pony trekking, quad biking or clay shooting. Put the pedal to the metal go-karting at Dunkeswell Raceway, if someone’s got a special birthday book them a wing walking or flying experience at Dunkeswell Airfield. Book a Vineyard Tour at Heron Farm, take a boat trip along the coast with Stuart Line Cruises, or book up a round at one of the local golf clubs.
