Marc at Soul Food has worked for several well-known restaurants, including the Castle Hotel in Taunton, Marc Hix, River Cottage and The New Angel at Dartmouth. Floral workshops making flower crowns and arrangements in a lovely farm setting with the glorious Herefordshire countryside all around. You’ll be working with the seasons and what’s provided by Mother Nature, using flowers grown on the farm’s cutting patch and foraged from the hedgerows. This is lovely for hen groups and anyone who loves flowers.

Hereford Laser Clays, Hereford, Herefordshire
Bespoke activity packages for hen and stag group and for team building events. Spend time outdoors in the glorious Herefordshire countryside practising your target skills firing infrared beams at real clays. Family groups can try this too, though you’ll need to be aware that there’s a minimum age of 8 years due to the weight of the guns. Noakes Farm Riding Centre, Bromyard, Herefordshire
Set in 250 acres of glorious countryside, this family owned riding centre has horses and ponies with good temperaments to suit all abilities. They offer 1 hour hacks in the fields and woodlands on the farm, group and private lessons, and day and morning courses to include a lesson, hack, pony care and gymkhana games. Indoor and outdoor arenas cover all weathers, instructors are well qualified and safety gear can be provided. Minimum age is 4 yrs, the weight limit is 14 st.

Horse Riding
Tregoyd Riding, Felindre, Three Cocks, Brecon, Powys
Pony trekking in the beautiful Black Mountains, with horses for all abilities from age 7yrs + for shorter rides and 9 yrs + for longer treks. Safety talks are given and hats provided, and you’ll be in the safe hands of experienced instructors who know this spectacular area like the back of their hands. Treks vary from 2 hours to a full day with a picnic or a stop at a country pub. They also offer Pony Paddock sessions for the little ones (age 4 yrs+).
