The House
Enter into the ground floor of the larger barn, where there’s a utility room, and to the left, Bedroom 1. On the right is the second living room with doors onto a big balcony with far reaching views over unspoilt countryside. Continue through the living room to a kitchen, a loo with an original prison door, and to Bedrooms 2-4.
The first floor is reached via two bespoke spiral staircases. The first, by Bedroom1, takes you up to Bedrooms 5-7; the other is just off the kitchen and leads to Bedrooms 8 and 9. Go down the first staircase to the lower ground floor where a supersize open-plan space has a well-equipped kitchen, a long dining table, sofas to curl up on, and a bar. A handy ‘back kitchen’ has extra ovens and a commercial glass washer – everything has been so well thought out here for convenience and comfort, giving you more time to relax and enjoy your stay. Step out of the full height doors onto the terrace, fire up the BBQ for a leisurely outdoor feast.
Off the dining area is Bedroom 10, a wheelchair friendly room that also has direct access from outside.
Stride across the courtyard to the smaller barn; step into the open plan living space with comfy seating on the left and a dining area and kitchen on the right. At one end of the room is Bedroom 14, at the other, steps lead up to Bedrooms 15 and 16. At the back of the barn there’s a private garden with furniture and a BBQ.
Potter round to the pool to enjoy exclusive daily use for 2 allocated slots of 2.5 hours (Mar-Oct). Just down the drive is the shared play field and games room, on the doorstep are 52 acres of private grounds to discover; take a picnic down to the stream, wander through the woodlands, stroll carefree through the fields.
