Riverside - Somerset

In Victorian times, Riverside was two red brick worker’s cottages, but zoom into today and they’ve been very thoughtfully converted into one big holiday house that sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms. This is such a special place to stay for large family holidays in the West Country; the setting is idyllic, tucked back from the lane in a peaceful hamlet on the edge of the Somerset Levels. The River Tone drifts lazily on its way just at the back of the house, the unspoilt views stretch for miles and miles across a landscape abundant in wildlife and birdlife. Inside, the house exudes relaxed country charm and the feels are so homely.

What makes Riverside so perfect for families is that there’s something for all ages; a games room with table tennis, pool and table football, a playroom for the little ones inside, a play area in the secure garden, and a covered hot tub. In the local area there are family attractions, historic houses and gardens to visit, quiet market towns to browse, and welcoming country pubs. The beaches of the Jurassic Coast are less than an hour away, the A358, A303 and M5 are all within easy reach.
