Well, the clocks have gone back, the temperature’s dropping and the leaves are turning; November might be out of the question now but there's still time to treat yourselves to winter short breaks in the UK. Whether it’s a few days in the country, a city break, a stay on a farm or a manor house experience.
And what a treat it will be! With fabulous facilities like private indoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, cinema rooms, games rooms, play areas and snug-as-a-bug Nordic style BBQ lodges (remember that Hygge thing?), you’ll be well sorted no matter what the weather’s doing. Oh and when we say private, we mean private, like all yours, not shared with anyone else. Best way, huh?

Tucked away out in the sticks in a world of your own for a few days, can’t be bad; get there, unpack, lock the world outside the door, take your ease. Have an online grocery delivery for just after you get there and you’ve got all you need for a perfect winter break; nothing but joy and jollification with your favourite people. While away the hours however you want – relaxing in the hot tub, larking about in the pool, rustling up a bit of light hearted rivalry in the games room, having a pamper in the sauna or stretched out on the sofa watching your favourite movie. Sounds good to us.
We’ve got lovely timber-clad lodges close to the rufty-tufty Quantock Hills in Somerset, we've got beautiful old farmhouses and centuries old thatched cottages, and some stunningly converted barns. In fact, make that Stunning with a big fat capital S, because these are absolute corkers! And then we’ve got a former rectory in a very commanding setting a stone’s throw from the Somerset coast, what was once an old dairy just a very short drive from the beach in Devon, and a very luxurious house in the heart of the New Forest. We have big modern houses in secluded settings in the Blackdown Hills, and large holiday accommodation with the Forest of Dean on the doorstep. Oh, and snucked away on the Somerset Levels there’s a gorgeous riverside retreat, a hillside haven and a house that’s like a private spa! We tell you, they are all so AMAZING, and yes, we know it’s showing off, but honestly, you’d be hard pushed to find accommodation for winter short breaks in the UK that has so much for all ages.
There’s nothing like a few days away with the fam, is there? Having a good time, making happy memories, forgetting about work and school, just regrouping, getting along fine. The young ‘uns will love our holiday houses because there’s so much to keep them smiling, and we’re totally geared up for babies and toddlers too, with things like cots and highchairs provided, and of course, stairgates. We’re also pleased to say that the majority of our awesome properties are dog friendly, so the pet pooch can come along too! Happy, happy days, just what we all need.
