The House
Pull up at your journey’s end and head into the house; step inside to a wide hallway with a WC on the left and stairs straight ahead. Go left to the spacious kitchen/dining room, very well-equipped to take the stress out of catering for a large group; perch at the central island, join in with the slicing and dicing then take your seat at the dining table. Off the kitchen is a lobby with a utility room to the right, to the left is Bedroom 6.
Right of the hall is the large living room with full height doors opening onto the patio. Put your feet up on the sofas, gather together to watch the latest match, or for a family movie night. On colder days, come back after a tramp in the fields, light the wood-burner and settle down for a cosy evening. The house has a calm and unruffled feel, light and airy throughout with modern interiors and lovely views over the river and countryside.
On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-3 and a family bathroom; bedrooms 1 and 3 have access to a glass fronted balcony that wraps around 2 sides of the house. On the second floor there’s a shower room and Bedrooms 4 and 5.
The games room is in a separate building by the back door - a seriously cool place to hang out, with a pool table, table tennis and an arcade game, soft seating and a big TV.
The garden runs beside the river around the side to the back of the house where there’s large patio and steps down to the lawn and swim spa, and an interesting feature - a red brick WWII pillbox (currently closed off).
