Our holiday houses have such amazing facilities, it's little wonder that they're so popular for big family holidays, short breaks with friends and self catering corporate breaks. Book one with a hot tub and straightaway you'll add to the fun; the kids love it, the grown ups love it, even the older generation, and any experienced hot tubber will tell you how incredibly relaxing it is to sit back in the warm water and chatter away without a care in the world.
Our large group holiday houses and cottages sleep 8-30 people and most are set amidst glorious countryside in Somerset and Devon; wide open fields, softly rolling hills dotted with dense woodlands, and the sunsets can be beautiful - and you can see it all from the hot tub! Just imagine it! By day you’ll have blue skies above, bright sunshine, lazy clouds drifting by, and in the evening, clear skies full of stars; you can sit out there swapping stories until the small hours. Bliss, and with room for 8-10 people in the tub it’s a very sociable thing.
Let’s be honest though, the English weather isn’t always entirely reliable, but that needn’t be a problem because at some of our big group holiday houses the hot tubs are indoors or have covers. Let's take a look at some of these amazing properties and what else they have to offer; tucked away in a sleepy hamlet, Beaverbrook 20 is an amazingly big holiday home with a fantastic games room, a home cinema, and an awesome spa hall with a pool, sauna, and sunken jacuzzi; outside is a Nordic style BBQ lodge.
Ham Bottom and Fuzzy Orchard are nestled in a beautiful valley not far from the market town of Wellington, and they both sleep up to 14 guests; the hot tubs here can be open or covered, so you can get in and chill out any time of year. You know when you’ve been for a good country walk and nice as it was, your legs are aching and your feet are sore, and your muscles need a soak? Well, even if it’s dull and cloudy, or windy and rainy, you can just jump in and keep the cover over you, and because it's on wheels you can turn it round if that big old sun is blazing down, savour the fresh air and high temperatures. These timber clad lodges also both have a pool, sauna, games room and BBQ lodge.
Out on the magical Somerset Levels, Orchard View sleeps 12 and you can have a soak on the patio whislt you look out over an idyllic orchard, frothy with apple blossom in the springtime. Sheep graze there and an old tractor has found it’s final resting place, and it’s the most gorgeous spot to relax whilst the sunsets. Right on the banks of the River Tone, Riverside, also sleeping 12, is a charming holiday cottage for large groups, with far reaching views, play equipment for the little ones, and it’s all so peaceful, it’s a dream. Just across the road is Walnut Arbour, a centuries old barn that has been sympathetically converted to an impressive holiday house for 12, with it’s own private spa; there’s a pool, a steam room, and sauna, and the hot tub is in the garden under a gazebo that clematis scrambles over.
Foxhill Lodge is a wonderful rural retreat for 8, set deep in the Devon countryside; stylish and welcoming, there’s an outdoor dining pavilion, BBQ lodge, play area, and depending on the time of year, you get use of an outdoor pool too. Sleeping 12, Dancing Hill is another of our lovely holiday cottages for large groups, and it’s got a fabulous 4 metre swim spa, and spectacular panoramic views of the Somerset landscape, stretching right out to the Bristol Channel. It’ll take your breath away.
