The House
Step through the porch into the kitchen - a big sociable space with everything you need for your large group stay. There's a walk-in pantry, a door to the 'back' stairs used by the servants back in the day, and a utility room. Straight ahead is the dining area, with glass walls and ceiling, and doors that open onto the terrace. What's remarkable is how cool this room stays on scorching hot days - despite all that glass.

The other side of the kitchen is the living room, a modern take on the traditional drawing room. Interiors throughout the house are quirky and original, blending well with the original features.

From the kitchen, a hallway leads to the ‘front stairs’ and to the gaming zone/movie room, with a humongous screen, gaming chairs, an X-box and arcade games. Across the hall is the games room with table football and air hockey and a whole wall of Estate History.

On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-4, on the second floor are Bedrooms 5-8; all have ensuite shower rooms, Bedroom 7 also has a free-standing bath. Bedrooms 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8 have room for extra guest beds (extra charge - see Extras) - great for families or for friends sharing.

Out on the terrace there’s outdoor table tennis, garden furniture, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, pizza oven and firepit. Steps go up to the lawn, where it gets really exciting, with the pool, hot tub and barrel sauna, and in a separate building, another games room with a pool table.

These are days of fun, and joy, where every moment becomes a memory, unrivalled, unforgettable.

Local Area

A day out at Longleat is a must-do – it’s less than 3 miles down the road! See the animals on the drive through safari, have a gander at the house and a stroll around the gardens, take the kids to the attractions in The Square. Who knows, you might even hear those famous lions roar!

And you must go to Bath, because it isn’t far and it’s such a beautiful city with so much to see and do – the shops, the street theatre, the museums and galleries, and the attractions; visit the Roman Baths and the lovely abbey, do the Bath Skyline Walk, take selfies outside the Royal Crescent, stroll across Pultney Bridge with its little shops and horseshoe weir. If you’re hungry, there’s a huge choice of places to fill your belly.

If you like cool and quirky, you'll like Frome, especially when the Frome Independent is on, bigging up the vintage and artisan vibe; the town centre comes alive with a merry throng browsing the stalls, there’s street food and live entertainment.

Bradford-on-Avon is another good place to go - have a narrowboat trip along the Kennet & Avon canal; hire canoes, or rent bikes and cycle along the towpath to Avoncliff Aquaduct.

If art is your thing, head to Bruton for a mooch round the gallery at Hauser & Wirth, if you like historic grandeur, go to Stourhead; visit the house, stroll around the lakes and follies. If all you want is fresh air and glorious views, puff your way to the top of Cley Hill or amble through Black Dog Woods.

The time is yours, spend it how you will. Just make sure you love every single moment.
